Written by Snow Peak President Lisa Yamai, Field Work explores her own personal relationship with the family brand and connection with the outdoors. After growing up immersed in camping culture, Lisa spent her university years in Tokyo studying fashion design and away from the outdoors entirely. It was then that she challenged the notion that urban and outdoor experiences were independent of one another, instead finding a symbiotic relationship between the two. Recognizing an opportunity to bridge this gap, Lisa returned to Snow Peak and launched the first collection of Snow Peak Apparel, items designed to transition from the city to the outdoors. And in February 2020, she continued the family legacy by becoming President of Snow Peak.
